The touring Zimbabwe A cricket team has commenced its official practice sessions in the northern district of Bogra ahead of its upcoming limited-overs fixtures against the Bangladesh A cricket team. The visiting Zimbabwe A delegation arrived in the northern district of Bogra at approximately 2:30 pm on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. Upon their arrival, the players and management staff were escorted to their official local accommodation at the Momo Inn, a prominent star-rated hotel in the city. The arrival of the international squad and the commencement of their training schedule marks the formal return of an international cricket atmosphere to the Shaheed Chandu Stadium after a structural hiatus spanning nearly one and a half decades.

In anticipation of these matches and the return of international cricket fixtures to Bogra, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has completed the initial phase of emergency renovation works at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium. The regulatory body has replaced the outdated air conditioning systems within the players’ dressing rooms, match officials’ rooms, and the VIP hospitality galleries with newly installed units. Furthermore, comprehensive maintenance has been carried out across the stadium building infrastructure to reactivate and ensure the seamless functionality of vital water and electricity connections alongside all related operational equipment.

“The primary preparations for the venue have already been completed. Although this is an ‘A’ team international fixture, we see it as a significant ray of hope for the future,” remarked Jamilur Rahman, the Venue Manager of the Shaheed Chandu Stadium.

Detailed Tour Schedule and Venues

According to the official itinerary confirmed by the cricketing authorities, the bilateral series will begin on 8 June 2026, when Bangladesh A and Zimbabwe A face each other in the first one-day match at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium. Following a solitary rest and training day, the second one-day fixture will take place at the identical venue on 10 June 2026.

The two teams will then depart Bogra to travel to the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, which is scheduled to host the third and final one-day match of the limited-overs series on 13 June 2026.
