Three Members of Infamous ‘B Company’ Gang Arrested in Khulna

KHULNA — Operatives from the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have successfully apprehended three prominent operatives belonging to the feared local criminal syndicate known as ‘B Company’ during a targeted afternoon raid in Khulna, confiscating foreign-manufactured firearms, live rounds, and a substantial amount of cash.

The anti-crime drive was executed on Sunday in the Raypara neighbourhood, situated under the administrative jurisdiction of Labanchara Police Station. Official police records confirm the identities of the detained individuals as Ilias Sardar, 42, a resident of Indurkani in Pirojpur district; Sujon, 38, from Gopalganj Sadar; and Nanna Bepari, 57, who hails from Betagi in Barguna district. All three detainees carry extensive criminal histories and are named in multiple pending legal cases involving serious offences such as attempted murder, property theft, and illicit drug trading spanning across Khulna, Pirojpur, and Barguna districts.

Describing the precision of the intelligence-led drive, Major Md. Nazmul Islam, Commander of the RAB-6 CPC Special Company, explained that tactical response units moved into the Raypara area at approximately 12:30 PM following a credible tip-off. Officers swiftly surrounded the residential property belonging to Nanna Bepari before detaining the trio without incident. A meticulous search of the premises and the suspects yielded two foreign-manufactured handguns, seven rounds of live ammunition, specialized weapon magazines, and BDT 153,000 in cash discovered in the direct possession of Ilias and Sujon.

RAB officials formally identified the detained men as top-tier figures within ‘B Company’, an underground syndicate heavily implicated in organized narcotics distribution networks and armed violence across the southwestern division. Law enforcement agencies continue to maintain high alert levels to dismantle regional criminal cells engaged in trafficking and extortion. Official criminal cases under the Arms Act are currently being registered, and administrative steps are being finalized to formally transfer the custody of the suspects to Labanchara Police Station for subsequent judicial proceedings and legal processing.
