RAB Implements Special Security Measures for Peaceful Observance of International Mother Language Day

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has deployed special security measures across the country, including Central Shaheed Minar and other key locations, to ensure a peaceful observance of International Mother Language Day 2025, according to a press release.

A large number of RAB personnel have been stationed nationwide, particularly in Dhaka, to prevent any disruptions or security threats. Security has been reinforced at Shaheed Minars in metropolitan cities, districts, and upazilas to avert any untoward incidents.

To enhance surveillance, CCTV/IP cameras and monitoring centers have been set up around Central Shaheed Minar, ensuring real-time security monitoring. Security preparations have been intensified in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and local administrations after assessing potential risks.

Key security measures include:

• RAB-3 has been assigned to oversee security at Central Shaheed Minar, with checkpoints and observation posts set up in coordination with other security forces.
• RAB’s Bomb Disposal Unit and Dog Squad will conduct security sweeps in the area.
• Checkpoints will be established at all intersections leading to Central Shaheed Minar to ensure strict security screening.
• Special vigilance will be maintained to protect women and children visiting the site, preventing any form of harassment or eve-teasing.
• RAB’s Cyber Monitoring Team is conducting 24/7 online surveillance to prevent the spread of rumors, misinformation, or provocative content in cyberspace.
• Banned groups and organizations will be strictly barred from entering Shaheed Minar premises to prevent any disturbances.

All RAB battalions have been instructed to maintain strict security within their respective jurisdictions, in coordination with local representatives and law enforcement agencies.

Security operations will be monitored nationwide through the RAB headquarters control room, ensuring real-time coordination across Dhaka and other regions.

RAB has urged the public’s cooperation in maintaining law and order during the observance of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day 2025.
