His compositions are regularly performed by the country’s top recording artists, earning widespread commercial success and radio play. Despite his impressive track record, Sagar views himself simply as a reclusive wordsmith. He humbly describes his contribution as nothing more than a single drop of water in the vast ocean of Bengali music.

Born on 11 July 1987 in Muradnagar upazila under Comilla district, Sagar is the eldest of three brothers. His affinity for literature began early in life. Reflecting on his journey, he recalled starting to write rhymes and poems whilst studying in the sixth grade, where classmates and teachers regarded him as the resident poet. During those early years, he would compose songs for his friend Belal Hossain to sing.

After a prolonged pause, his songwriting reached public audiences in 2018, leading to wide recognition across the music industry by 2019. Over an eight-year professional career, Sagar has penned approximately 400 songs spanning modern pop, traditional folk, and melodic genres.

Outside the recording studio, Sagar maintains a demanding corporate job at a private firm in the port city of Chittagong. Balancing a structured professional career with creative passion requires discipline. He uses his spare time, often late into the night, to put pen to paper and draft new lyrics.

Juggling work, family life, and songwriting presents its own challenges. Sagar admitted that spending long hours writing overnight sometimes deprives his family of quality time, leading to occasional mild misunderstandings with his wife. However, those minor grievances quickly vanish whenever a new track turns into a major hit.

Ultimately, Sagar remains committed to working in silence rather than chasing media recognition. He maintains that true longevity comes from quality output, expressing his desire to be remembered through his artistic creations rather than personal promotion.
