The arrest was made on Friday, 1 August, from the Wari area of Dhaka, confirmed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of the DMP.

“Jane Alam Apu was arrested from Wari in relation to the Tk 50 lakh extortion incident in Gulshan,” said DC Talebur Rahman.
