Houthis Claim 110 Saudi Attacks in Yemen; Casualties Exceed 30

Saudi forces carried out 110 air and missile strikes across Yemen in the past 24 hours, according to claims by the Houthi group. More than 30 people, including women and children, were killed or injured in the attacks, said Yahya Saree, the Houthis’ military spokesperson. The claims have not been independently verified.

In a statement, Saree said the strikes targeted several locations across Yemen, including the capital, Sanaa, and the governorates of Hodeidah, Taiz, Amran, Hajjah, Saada, Al-Jawf, Al-Dhale and Marib.

According to the spokesperson, the attacks caused more than 30 casualties, including women and children. However, he did not provide a breakdown of the number of people killed and injured. The statement also offered no detailed information about the identities of the victims or the extent of damage to buildings and other infrastructure.

Saree further claimed that the total number of Saudi air and missile strikes in Yemen had risen to 2,652 since the latest escalation began. The statement did not provide a detailed breakdown of the reported attacks or specify how the figures had been compiled.

The allegations, if confirmed, would highlight the continuing security challenges facing Yemen amid renewed military tensions. Strikes in populated areas can pose serious risks to civilians, particularly women and children, who are often among the most vulnerable during armed conflicts.

However, the statement did not include any response from Saudi authorities regarding the alleged attacks or the reported casualties. Independent verification of the number of strikes, their intended targets and the resulting damage remains necessary to establish the full extent of the incident.

Yemen has endured years of conflict, political instability and humanitarian hardship. The fighting has involved multiple domestic and regional actors, making efforts to achieve lasting peace particularly difficult. Continued military operations risk further worsening conditions for civilians and placing additional pressure on communities already affected by prolonged instability.

The latest allegations come amid concerns about the wider consequences of escalating hostilities in the region. Any sustained increase in military activity could further threaten civilian safety and complicate efforts to secure humanitarian assistance for affected communities.

For now, the figures remain claims made by the Houthi military spokesperson. Further information from independent sources and an official response from Saudi authorities would be needed to establish the scale of the reported attacks and their impact on civilians.
