Purabi General Insurance Posts Profit Growth in Third Quarter

Dhaka-listed non-life insurer Purabi General Insurance Company Limited has released its unaudited financial statements for the third quarter spanning July to September 2026. The corporate disclosure, approved during a recent board meeting, reveals a notable uptick in both earnings and operational cash flows compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
According to the official financial performance indicators, the company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 0.62 for the three-month period ending September 2026. This marks a clear improvement over the same period last year, when earnings per share stood at Tk 0.45. The rise in quarterly earnings reflects stronger underwriting profitability and improved premium collections across its operational network.
Taking a broader view of the financial trajectory over the first nine months of the current year (January to September 2026), the cumulative earnings per share reached Tk 1.46. By comparison, Purabi General Insurance had recorded an EPS of Tk 1.23 during the identical nine-month period in 2025. Financial analysts attribute the steady growth to efficient fund management and expanded business coverage within the non-life insurance segment.
Alongside earnings growth, the company’s liquidity position saw a substantial boost. Net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) surged to Tk 1.75 for the nine-month period ending September 2026, up from Tk 0.93 reported in the corresponding period of the previous year. This sharp increase in operating cash flow underscores enhanced efficiency in premium collection and liquidity management, ensuring a healthy operational cash inflow relative to outstanding policy obligations.
Furthermore, as of 30 June 2026, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) was recorded at Tk 15.08. As a listed entity in the capital market, Purabi General Insurance continues to demonstrate resilience in navigating market dynamics within the non-life insurance sector, maintaining steady dividend prospects and asset coverage for its shareholders.
