At the proposed Dhaka Central University—intended to serve students from seven government colleges in the capital—40% of classes will be conducted online, while the remaining 60% will be held in person.
This was announced on Monday, 4 August, during a press conference at the Secretariat. Md. Mojibur Rahman, Additional Secretary (in charge) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, disclosed the plan while briefing on the progress regarding the establishment of the university.

Md. Mojibur Rahman explained that the university aims to implement an interdisciplinary and hybrid academic model, combining the flexibility of online learning with the structure and engagement of face-to-face instruction.
While students will have some freedom in selecting their academic disciplines after completing the initial general semesters, the university will not offer the option to change campuses during their course of study.
