The court has ordered the arrest of Rashed Khan Menon, President of the Bangladesh Workers Party and former minister; Hasanul Haq Inu, President of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and former Information Minister; and Junaid Ahmed Palak, former State Minister for ICT, in connection with the murder case of student Mahadi Hasan Panth (18) in the Kadamtali area of Dhaka.
On Monday, 4 August, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Sefatullah issued the arrest warrants following a hearing.
The case investigating officer, Deputy Inspector Md. Arif Hossain of Kadamtali Police Station, appeared before the court and requested the issuance of the arrest warrants, which the court subsequently approved.
