TCB Begins Sale of Essential Goods Today: Cooking Oil, Sugar, and Lentils Available

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), a government marketing agency, has initiated the sale of essential commodities across the capital and various parts of the country today to benefit low-income groups.

This information was announced via an official notice on Saturday, 9 August.

According to the notice signed by TCB Deputy Director Md. Shahadat Hossain, the sale will take place through mobile trucks, reaching 500 consumers daily per truck. Consumers are free to purchase products directly from the trucks.

The pricing for general consumers is as follows:

Cooking oil (2 litres) at 230 Taka
Sugar (1 kilogram) at 80 Taka
Red lentils (2 kilograms) at 140 Taka

Meanwhile, holders of the Smart Family Card will continue to enjoy previously established preferential rates.
