Pakistan set a target of 295 runs but failed to come close, being bowled out for just 92. They suffered a heavy 202-run defeat to the West Indies, marking their first series loss against the Caribbean side in nearly three and a half decades.
West Indies had last defeated Pakistan in a series in 1991. Following 11 consecutive series without victory, the Caribbean team finally ended the drought with a commanding performance last night.
West Indies Batting Performance
Shai Hope was the standout performer for West Indies, scoring an unbeaten 120 runs off 94 balls, including five sixes and ten fours. He shared a 110-run unbroken partnership for the seventh wicket with Justin Greaves, who scored 43 runs from 24 balls. West Indies finished their allotted 50 overs at 294 for 6 wickets.

Pakistan Batting Collapse
In response, Pakistan collapsed under pressure, losing all wickets for 92 runs in 29.2 overs. Jaden Seales led the bowling effort, taking 6 wickets for just 18 runs in 7.2 overs.
Pakistan’s innings began disastrously, losing four wickets for 23 runs in the first nine overs, including three batsmen dismissed without scoring. Saim Ayub was out on the third ball of the innings, followed immediately by Abdullah Shafiq. Captain Mohammad Rizwan was bowled by Seales on his first ball.
Babar Azam was dismissed LBW for 9 runs off Seales, while Salman Agha resisted briefly, scoring 30 runs off 49 balls. Hasan Nawaz (13) was stumped by Gudakesh Mottir, and Hosein Talat (1) was bowled by Roston Chase. The last batsman, Abrar Ahmed, was run out for a duck.

Historic Victory and Team Revival
This victory comes at a critical time for West Indies, who had been in a slump, including being bowled out for 27 runs in a recent Test against Australia. Following that defeat, legends Brian Lara and Clive Lloyd held a two-day special meeting to strategise a team revival. The result of that planning was evident in this series.
After losing the first match by five wickets, West Indies bounced back in the second match, also by five wickets, to level the series. They then dominated the final match to secure this historic series win over Pakistan.
