BCB President Meets National Cricketers: Key Discussions

In preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup, Bangladesh’s cricketers are busy with fitness camps and skill sessions. Amidst this final phase of preparation, team members including Miraz and Shanto held a meeting with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul.

After returning from a family holiday in Australia yesterday, Bulbul convened the meeting today (Tuesday) at 10:00 am in a five-star hotel in Dhaka with members of the national cricket team. Reports indicate that besides contracted players, several other cricketers were also present.

Other attendees included:

  • BCB Directors
  • Medical staff
  • Coaching staff

The discussions covered multiple topics, with the president providing guidance and directions.

A member present at the meeting told Dhaka Post:

  • Presentations: Bulbul gave presentations, and the medical department also presented, focusing on healthcare and treatment services.
  • Wickets & Venues: Talks included improving first-class cricket wickets and expanding venues.
  • Social Media Usage: Players were advised to limit social media use and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Facilities: Consideration was given to installing a swimming pool at Mirpur Stadium.
  • Domestic Matches & Travel: Discussion on the DPCL schedule focused on long-distance travel. Matches held outside Dhaka often coincide with Ramadan, requiring players to travel after Sehri. Solutions for this scheduling challenge were explored.

The meeting highlighted the BCB’s commitment to player welfare, infrastructure improvement, and operational efficiency, ensuring the team is fully prepared for the Asia Cup and other upcoming competitions.
