The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has issued a warning to the city’s residents, advising them not to engage in any financial transactions outside government-regulated procedures.

On Monday, 1 September, the DNCC released an official public notice emphasising this warning.

Trade Licence Issued following official procedures; no financial inducements accepted
Recruitment of Personnel All appointments conducted according to regulations; personal payments prohibited
Shop Allocation Distribution strictly according to rules; no outside payments permitted

The notice highlighted that all services, including those listed above, are to be conducted strictly in accordance with established rules and procedures, leaving no room for personal intervention.

Legal Implications

  • Any person engaging in unauthorised financial transactions with DNCC officials, employees, or middlemen will be subject to legal action.
  • Residents are also urged to report any DNCC official, employee, or intermediary who demands money in exchange for services to the law enforcement authorities.

The DNCC stressed that these measures are essential to ensure transparency and prevent corruption in all civic services.
