Landmine Explosion in Pakistan Kills Five Soldiers

In Balochistan province, Pakistan, a landmine explosion during a security clearance operation has claimed the lives of five soldiers. In the same operation, five ‘India-supported’ terrorists were also killed.

The incident occurred on Monday, 15 September, in the Sherbandi area of Kach District, confirmed the country’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

 

According to ISPR:

  • The security forces were conducting an operation to clear a terrorist hideout in Sherbandi.
  • During the mission, a landmine detonated, striking a military vehicle and resulting in the deaths of five personnel.

ISPR praised the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen officers and soldiers, stating: “The selfless sacrifices of Pakistan’s courageous officers and soldiers further strengthen the nation’s resolve to eliminate terrorism.”

The operation highlights ongoing efforts by Pakistan’s security forces to target militant hideouts and maintain stability in the volatile Balochistan region.
