In Balochistan province, Pakistan, a landmine explosion during a security clearance operation has claimed the lives of five soldiers. In the same operation, five ‘India-supported’ terrorists were also killed.
The incident occurred on Monday, 15 September, in the Sherbandi area of Kach District, confirmed the country’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to ISPR:
- The security forces were conducting an operation to clear a terrorist hideout in Sherbandi.
- During the mission, a landmine detonated, striking a military vehicle and resulting in the deaths of five personnel.
