Aespa has won the MAMA Award for Best Dance Performance – Female Group at the 2025 MAMA Awards held on 29th November at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
The group claimed two prestigious trophies at the ceremony, also winning Best Choreography alongside the Best Dance Performance award. The event, which marked Chapter 2 of the MAMA Awards, took place at 7:30 p.m. KST.
During their acceptance speech, Aespa took a moment to express their condolences for the recent tragic fire at a 32-storey apartment complex in Tai Po, Hong Kong. They said, “We would like to thank all the staff who made it possible for us to receive this meaningful award. We are honoured and will continue to work hard to deliver outstanding performances.” The group also added, “We hope our music inspires everyone to let their passion shine.”
This year’s MAMA Awards faced significant challenges in the lead-up to the event due to the devastating fire on the 26th November in which a major residential complex in northern Hong Kong was affected. There were initial concerns about whether the ceremony would go ahead, but it ultimately continued as planned.
In Chapter 2, performances were delivered by Aespa, AllDay Project (ADP), Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), G-Dragon, Izna, and Riize. Over two days, 27 acts participated in the 2025 MAMA Awards, with Rosé and Enhypen winning grand prizes during Chapter 1 the day before.
The hosts for the event were Park Bo-gum for Chapter 1 and Kim Hye-soo for Chapter 2.
