With the series finale against Ireland looming, Bangladesh pace bowling coach Shaun Tait has delivered a simple yet powerful message: focus on playing your game and don’t overthink. Speaking after Monday’s training at Chittagong’s Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium, Tait reminded his players that their approach should be straightforward.

“There’s no need to overcomplicate matters,” Tait said. “We just need to play good cricket and aim to win. Every international win gives the team confidence, which is crucial going into this do-or-die match.”

This third T20 is Bangladesh’s final bilateral series before the ICC T20 World Cup, making it vital for both momentum and morale. A victory would not only clinch the series but also provide a psychological boost before the upcoming BPL season. “Our best strategy is to focus on playing well. We want to take the confidence from our previous win and carry it into this game. A win would be the ideal way to head into the break,” Tait explained.

Assessing Ireland’s performance, he acknowledged their strengths. “Ireland have played impressively so far. They have talented players and are highly organised in the T20 format,” he said.

Despite this, Bangladesh are embracing the challenge. “Big challenges help us grow. With the T20 World Cup coming up, there is nothing bigger in T20 cricket. Matches like this prepare us both mentally and tactically for bigger contests ahead,” Tait added.

The series-deciding encounter is expected to be intense, but Bangladesh are determined to finish strongly, secure the series, and enter the World Cup with renewed confidence and belief.
