The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to three national cricketers, clearing the path for them to participate in prestigious overseas franchise and county tournaments. Left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman, young opening batsman Parvez Hossain Emon, and right-arm pace bowler Hasan Mahmud have all been granted clearance. With no immediate international fixtures or major national training camps scheduled, the board decided to give these players the green light to gain valuable exposure in different conditions across the globe.
Mustafizur Rahman is set to make his debut in England’s highly publicised 100-ball competition, The Hundred. The left-arm seamer was picked up by Birmingham Phoenix during the player draft. According to the BCB’s cricket operations department, Mustafizur’s NOC will remain valid from 20 July to 20 August. This timeframe covers the entire duration of the tournament, meaning fans can expect to see him feature extensively for the Birmingham-based franchise. His deceptive cutters and vast short-format experience are expected to add significant depth to the Phoenix bowling attack.
Meanwhile, young top-order batsman Parvez Hossain Emon has secured administrative clearance to feature in global franchise cricket. Following the conclusion of Bangladesh’s bilateral tour of Zimbabwe, Emon will travel to join Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming Global Super League. The hard-hitting left-hander is no stranger to the franchise, having previously represented Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). His familiarity with the team environment should help him transition smoothly into the tournament.
England’s historic county club Kent Spitfires have re-signed right-arm fast bowler Hasan Mahmud. He is scheduled to represent Kent in their final three vital group-stage fixtures of the Vitality Blast T20 competition. Hasan previously enjoyed an incredibly successful stint with the club in the longer format. During his earlier spell in the County Championship, he turned heads by claiming 12 wickets in just two first-class matches. His standout performance came against Lancashire, where he dismantled the batting lineup to take 6 wickets for 69 runs, earning a well-deserved Player of the Match award. This exceptional red-ball performance prompted Kent to bring him back for their T20 campaign.
The demand for Bangladeshi cricketers in foreign domestic leagues has seen a noticeable rise. Recently, several high-profile players received similar clearances from the BCB. One-day international captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz secured an NOC to play in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), while T20 captain Litton Das, veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, and premier pacer Taskin Ahmed have also featured across various international leagues. Mustafizur and Emon are the latest additions to this expanding list. The BCB management remains optimistic that competing in these elite tournaments will refine the individual skills of the players, ultimately benefiting the national team in future international campaigns.
