The Iranian Red Crescent Society has reported a staggering death toll of 787 in the ongoing attacks allegedly carried out jointly by the United States and Israel. According to the US-based Iranian Human Rights Association (HRANA), the fatalities include 176 children, with 742 civilians among the deceased.

Fatemeh Mohammadbeigi, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s Health Committee, confirmed on Monday that nine hospitals across Iran have been hit during the recent assaults. The attacks, which began last Saturday, have reportedly targeted over 153 cities and more than 500 specific sites, according to the Red Crescent. Israeli and US forces are said to have launched over a thousand airstrikes in the span of these few days.

Amid the mounting humanitarian crisis, controversy has arisen over attacks on healthcare facilities. Tehran’s Gandhi Hospital was reportedly struck, prompting a response from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which denied deliberately targeting the hospital. In contrast, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has held both nations accountable for the alleged strike, calling it a violation of international humanitarian law.

The escalating crisis has sparked widespread international concern, with human rights groups calling for immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access to the affected areas. Meanwhile, Iran continues to categorically condemn the attacks, accusing the US and Israel of blatant aggression against civilians.

The situation remains fluid, with further casualties feared as both nations maintain heightened military operations in the region.
