At the 74th Miss Universe pageant, held in a grand ceremony, Fatima Bosch of Mexico was crowned the winner. Her name was announced during the final event on Friday (21 November) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 25-year-old triumphed over 120 contestants worldwide. The crown was placed on her head by last year’s winner, Victoria Kyer Thilvig. Overwhelmed with emotion, Fatima was seen crying and embracing the other contestants on stage.
Fatima Bosch was born in Santiago de Teapa, Tabasco, Mexico. She studied fashion design in Mexico and, in September 2025, became the first woman from Tabasco to win the Miss Universe Mexico title. Following her win, she gained a massive following on social media, with over 990,000 followers on Instagram and 690,000 on TikTok.
The official prize money for the new Miss Universe has not yet been announced. However, winners typically receive 250,000 USD, approximately three crore Bangladeshi Taka. Last year’s winner, Victoria Kyer Thilvig, also received 250,000 USD.
Fatima will receive a monthly allowance of 50,000 USD (roughly 60 lakh Taka) for travel and various purposes. The crown she won is valued at 5 million USD (around 61 crore Taka). In addition to cash, she will also be gifted a luxury apartment in New York City.
