US President Donald Trump said on Sunday (30 November) that there is no issue with his brain. He made the remark jokingly while speaking with reporters.
He stated that the results of his recent MRI test were completely ‘perfect’. However, noting that it was not a brain MRI, Trump added that he had merely taken an intelligence test and secured a very high score—something he claimed many would struggle to achieve.
Questions about Trump’s mental health had been raised earlier. In the book Fire and Fury, published during his first term, American journalist Michael Wolff wrote that Trump suffered from serious mental problems and often repeated the same statements.
However, White House physician Ronny Jackson had said that President Trump’s overall health was excellent. Later, Trump’s physical check-up did not include any mental fitness assessment.
Subsequently, several doctors and health officials wrote to Dr Jackson, urging him to evaluate Trump’s mental condition. They stated that individuals aged 66 or above should undergo mental assessment along with physical examinations.
