Fourteen New Cadres Appointed as Revised 47th BCS Results Released

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published a revised set of results for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCB) examinations. The latest administrative amendment formally recommends an additional 14 candidates for permanent appointment within the prestigious livestock cadre. Alongside these additions, minor adjustments have been made to the previously announced non-cadre list, resolving initial technical discrepancies.

The official notification confirming the revision was uploaded to the commission’s website on Thursday afternoon, 16 July 2026. According to the directive issued by the examination controller’s department, the newly added 14 registration numbers have been integrated into a professional and technical cadre post. The step was taken in compliance with the evaluation criteria established in the initial final result notification published on 28 June 2026.

The freshly endorsed candidates are slated to join essential public service roles, including veterinary surgeons, scientific officers, lecturers, and store officers within the state livestock department. In the original gazette published late last month, the commission had initially selected 54 individuals for these specific technical roles. Following this latest rectifying measure, the total number of recommended candidates within the livestock cadre has risen to 68. The commission explicitly stated that this amended segment will completely supersede the corresponding sections of the previously issued June directive.

The adjustment increases the overall scope of the 47th BCS recruitment drive. When the primary results were released on 28 June, the commission recommended a total of 1,521 successful candidates for various government operations. This initial cohort comprised 1,302 cadre officers and 201 non-cadre professionals. With the induction of the 14 new livestock officers, the aggregate number of successful job seekers recommended through the competitive 47th BCS examination cycle stands at 1,535.

The commission noted that these alterations were vital to ensure fair assessment and rectify data alignment issues across technical fields. Government officials indicated that the standard medical examinations and comprehensive police verification processes for the newly selected candidates will commence shortly, aligning them with the rest of the batch prior to their formal gazette publication and eventual ministry postings.
