The French international footballer Eduardo Camavinga had harboured aspirations of spending this period in the United States, representing France at the World Cup. Upon arriving in the United States, Camavinga enrolled in a specialised programme at the prestigious Harvard Business School. The Real Madrid defender is currently participating in a course focused on Sports and Entertainment at the institution, which is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Coincidentally, despite his exclusion from the playing squad, Camavinga remains geographically close to the French national team. The conditioning camp for the France squad, established for their World Cup preparations, is situated in Oldham, Massachusetts. This location is less than fifty kilometres away from the Harvard Business School campus where the player is studying.

Camavinga shared several photographs of his time in the university classrooms via his social media accounts. Accompanying the images, the defender expressed his gratitude for the academic opportunity, writing:

Having previously featured for France during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the defender had maintained strong hopes of participating in the current tournament.
