Government Hospital Recruitment Examination Schedule Officially Announced

The Ministry of Public Administration has officially released the venue layout, chronological schedule, and comprehensive instructions for the preliminary Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) screening examination for the position of ‘Personal Officer’ at the Government Employee Hospital (Sarkari Kormochari Hospital). The preliminary screening assessment is scheduled to be administered across two designated academic venues located within the capital city of Dhaka. According to official administrative records, a total of 3,135 registered candidates are scheduled to participate in this recruitment examination.

Examination Schedule and Institutional Venues

The recruitment process aims to fill vacancies for the post of Personal Officer, which is classified as a Tenth Grade position within the national civil service structure. The screening test will take place on 2 July 2026. The examination is structurally timed to commence at 3:00 pm and will conclude at 4:00 pm local time, providing candidates with an exact duration of one hour to complete the paper.

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Secretariat has designated two specific institutional facilities in Dhaka to accommodate the total candidate pool for the examination:

  • Venue One: Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls’ High School, situated at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

  • Venue Two: The Multipurpose Hall, located within the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat Headquarters, Agargaon, Dhaka.

Marks Distribution and Evaluation Framework

The screening examination is structured around a total evaluation framework of 100 marks. The curriculum is evenly distributed across four primary academic subject areas, with each segment allocated an equal weight of 25 marks. The specific marks distribution is organised as follows:

  • Bengali Language and Literature: 25 Marks

  • English Language and Literature: 25 Marks

  • Mathematics and Everyday Science: 25 Marks

  • General Knowledge (Focusing on Bangladesh and International Affairs): 25 Marks

The evaluation methodology strictly incorporates a negative marking penalty system to maintain competitive academic assessment integrity. Candidates will be awarded 1.0 mark for each correct response. Conversely, a deduction of 0.50 marks will be executed for every incorrect selection made on the optical mark recognition sheet.

Mandatory Instructions and Venue Regulations

The Ministry and the Commission have enforced a rigorous set of rules and behavioral regulations that all examinees must strictly comply with during the examination day:

  1. Reporting Deadline: All candidates are required to report and enter their respective examination halls by 2:30 pm at the latest. The administrative authorities will completely seal the entry gates after 2:30 pm, and no candidate will be allowed entry into the venue under any circumstances beyond this deadline.

  2. Admit Card Requirement: No applicant will be allowed to participate in the screening test without presenting a valid, officially issued examination admit card.

  3. Prohibited Material and Electronic Devices: The possession of books, reference papers, bags, vanity bags, wallets, and money pouches is strictly forbidden within the examination premises. Furthermore, candidates are prohibited from carrying any timekeeping devices, including analogue wristwatches, pocket watches, electronic watches, and smartwatch devices. Communication tools such as mobile telephone handsets, watch-phones, cellular apparatus, and any form of jewellery are entirely barred. Financial instruments, including bank credit cards, debit cards, or similar items, along with mathematical calculators and all electronic data storage or transmission devices, are completely prohibited.

  4. Physical Dress Code: Candidates must ensure that their ears remain completely uncovered and visible throughout the entire duration of the examination. No fabric covers, bandages, or clothing accessories are permitted over the ears.

  5. Calculator Exemption Rule: The administrative provision noted on the standard admit card concerning the permissible use of calculators is explicitly restricted to the subsequent written examination phase. Calculators are completely banned during this preliminary MCQ screening test.

Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities

Special administrative arrangements have been structured for candidates with physical or visual disabilities who require the assistance of an amanuensis (scribe). Eligible examinees must submit a formal written application directed to the Director, Unit-10, at the main headquarters of the Commission Secretariat in Dhaka.

This application must be delivered during standard official working hours on or before 23 June 2026. The Public Service Commission will systematically review the received documentation and directly appoint an official scribe to assist authorized applicants on the examination day.
