Despite fielding a relatively inexperienced, second-string line-up, the French champions demonstrated their attacking quality and depth. Le Havre initially made the most of their home advantage, but struggled to contain PSG once the visitors found their rhythm.
The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute through Josh Maja, raising hopes of a positive result in front of their home supporters. However, their advantage lasted just eight minutes.
In the 26th minute, PSG drew level through Mika Godts. Hakimi delivered an accurate pass into the penalty area, allowing the Belgian winger to find himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Godts made no mistake, calmly slotting the ball into the net to make it 1-1.
PSG then moved ahead just two minutes later, with Hakimi taking centre stage. Receiving a pass from Senny Mayulu, the Moroccan full-back produced an excellent finish from a difficult angle on the right side of the penalty area. His strike gave the visitors a 2-1 lead and completed a rapid turnaround.
Hakimi continued to dictate the game after the interval. In the 55th minute, he scored his second goal of the evening with a superb curling effort from outside the penalty area. The strike demonstrated his attacking instincts and technical ability, extending PSG’s advantage to 3-1.
Seven minutes later, the captain turned provider once again. This time, he set up Mayulu, who converted the opportunity to put PSG firmly in control at 4-1. Hakimi’s contribution was becoming increasingly decisive, as he continued to influence the match at both ends of the pitch.
The Moroccan international completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, scoring his third goal of the night to make it 5-1. It was the first hat-trick of his professional career, making the occasion particularly memorable for the PSG captain.
With no further goals in the closing stages, PSG comfortably secured all three points. Hakimi’s performance was remarkable not only for his three goals but also for his two assists, meaning he was directly involved in all five of his team’s goals.
The victory extended PSG’s winning run to nine matches across all competitions, underlining their impressive consistency. It also strengthened their position in the Ligue 1 title race.
After nine league matches, PSG sit at the top of the standings with 20 points. Lille occupy second place with 18 points from the same number of games.
For PSG, the result offered another indication of their squad depth and attacking strength. Even without relying on their strongest available line-up, they were able to recover from an early deficit and deliver an emphatic away victory.
Hakimi’s historic performance was the defining feature of the evening. His ability to combine defensive responsibilities with attacking contributions once again highlighted his importance to the French champions as they continue their pursuit of domestic success.
