The song “Tumi Chara” from the Eid release film Rakhkhos has been receiving widespread appreciation from audiences, with young vocalist Humaira Ishika emerging as a central talking point for her captivating performance. The track, which features two versions, showcases her vocals in both a solo rendition and a softer alternative arrangement, both of which have already begun to resonate strongly with listeners.

Composed and arranged by popular music director Imran Mahmudul, with lyrics written by Robiul Islam Jibon, the song has gained additional attention due to its prominent placement within the film rather than being used merely as a background piece. This integration has allowed it to stand out as a significant musical highlight of the project.

Speaking about the response, Ishika expressed particular affection for the soft version of the song, describing it as especially close to her heart. She noted that the overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences has been deeply motivating, adding that many viewers have personally congratulated her after watching the film in cinemas.

The young singer, who began her musical journey at an exceptionally early age, continues to build a strong reputation in Bangladesh’s playback industry. Born in Bogura, she first developed an interest in music at just three and a half years old, eventually progressing to national recognition through early talent platforms.

Her breakthrough came with Kajal Rekha, where she contributed vocals to seven tracks out of a total of 24 in the film. She also gained wider recognition through the duet “Parbo Na Tomake Chharte”, performed alongside Imran Mahmudul, which marked a turning point in her professional career.

Ishika was a top-seven finalist in Notun Kuri 2016, one of the country’s prominent children’s talent competitions, and has since earned multiple accolades. These include the Channel i Music Awards 2023 for Best Newcomer and the BIFA Awards 2024, where she was recognised as Best Music Artist for her work in Kajal Rekha.

Despite her growing success, she continues to balance her academic commitments alongside an active recording schedule. Ishika remains optimistic that “Tumi Chara” will achieve even broader popularity once it is released independently beyond the film context, allowing audiences to engage with it as a standalone musical piece.
