International Rating Chess Tournament to Commence Wednesday

The International Rating Chess Tournament, organised in observance of the historic July Mass Uprising, is set to begin on Wednesday, 6 August at the Youth Tower of the ICT Division, located in Shewrapara, Dhaka.

According to the FIDE August Rating List, the tournament will feature:

The Bangladesh Chess Federation has selected the 10 additional players to encourage participation from women, girls, and promising young talents.

Registration Information

Interested participants are required to register online by Tuesday, 5 August.
The entry fee for each participant is BDT 510.

Tournament Format and Prize

• The tournament will follow a seven-round Swiss league system, ensuring fair and competitive play.
• A total cash prize pool of BDT 100,000 has been allocated for winners.

The event promises to showcase strategic brilliance and rising talents in Bangladeshi chess while honouring the legacy of the July Uprising.
