South Indian cinema’s beloved couple, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, have officially embarked on their married life, igniting weeks of excitement among fans across India and beyond. The actress, moved by the outpouring of love from her supporters, recently shared a deeply personal insight on social media—love, she believes, should be liberating.
In a heartfelt post, Rashmika wrote, “I haven’t read anything so emotionally raw about myself in a long time. My only thought about love—find love that sets you free.” Her words resonated widely, reflecting both personal growth and the universal quest for meaningful relationships.
For years, speculation swirled around the couple’s relationship. Their camaraderie blossomed on film sets, gradually evolving into romance. On 26 February, Rashmika and Vijay tied the knot in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends.
The wedding beautifully honoured both Andhra and Kodava family traditions. While the ceremony was private, the newlyweds later shared photos and messages on social media, allowing fans to partake in their joy. Notably, this was Rashmika’s first public reference to Vijay as her husband.
Beyond personal celebrations, the couple ensured their happiness reached fans and the wider community. On 1 March, they sent sweet-filled trucks to major cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. The treats were distributed to the public, spreading festive cheer. Additionally, they organised annadaan (food donation) programmes across 16 temples nationwide.

Following the wedding, a fan’s heartfelt social media post praised the couple’s relationship, noting it restores faith in love even during difficult times. Rashmika responded candidly, reflecting on her personal journey: “I am discovering my own space in life. It is a journey I am deeply grateful for.”
Alongside her personal happiness, Rashmika continues to enjoy a flourishing career. She recently won the Best Actress award at the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards for her performance in The Girlfriend. Vijay publicly congratulated her on social media, to which she playfully replied, “When you say you’re proud of me, I truly love it.”
