Madrasah Teacher Dismissed Following Child Abuse Allegations

An Ebtedayee madrasah and hefzkhana teacher, identified as Md. Shahin Uddin, aged 31, has been permanently dismissed from his position following allegations of molesting a female student in the Fatikchhari Upazila of Chittagong. The decision was finalised during an emergency disciplinary meeting convened at the madrasah administrative office at approximately 11:30 am on Monday, 15 June.

According to statements from the madrasah’s governing body and local residents, the incident transpired on Sunday, 14 June, during active school hours. The teacher allegedly molested a female student enrolled in the second grade. Following the incident, the distressed students reported the inappropriate behavior to their respective families, prompting immediate parental intervention.

Maulana Nazim Uddin, the Director of the madrasah, verified the administrative measures, stating: “An instructor from our madrasah has committed a highly unpleasant and undesirable act. We have made no compromises regarding the safety of our minor students and the preservation of a proper educational environment.
