In a significant administrative reshuffle, the government has reassigned 22 senior officers within the Bangladesh Police to new postings across various regional units, training centres, and specialized divisions. The official notifications were issued on Tuesday, 22nd September, by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Signed by Deputy Secretary Tausif Ahmed, the executive orders take immediate effect as part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at bolstering operational efficiency and leadership distribution within the national police force.

Among the key transfers highlighted in the government orders, DIG Paritosh Ghosh, who previously served at the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari, has been reassigned as the Deputy Inspector General of Police for the APBn (Hill Tracts Districts) office. Moving into a major training leadership role, Habibur Rahman Khan, formerly the DIG of Highway Police in Dhaka, has been appointed as the Commandant (DIG) of the Traffic and Driving School (TDS) in the capital. Meanwhile, Mohammad Enamul Haq, who held the position of Supernumerary Additional Commissioner of Police in Sylhet, has been elevated to Additional DIG at the APBn and Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

The administrative realignment also reassigned several senior officers attached to regional range offices and specialized intelligence units. Mohammad Anisur Rahman, previously serving as Additional DIG within the Special Branch (SB) in Dhaka, has been posted to the office of the Khulna Range DIG as Additional DIG. Furthermore, two Officers on Special Duty (OSD) attached to the Ministry of Home Affairs have received new postings: Additional DIG Md Gias Uddin Ahmad has been attached to the Rangpur Range DIG office as Additional DIG, while Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Jasim Uddin has been deployed to the Rajshahi Range DIG office.

The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed that these lateral transfers and strategic postings encompass a total of 22 top-tier officers to streamline regional administration and enhance security oversight throughout Bangladesh. The official directive orders all affected personnel to assume their new positions without delay to maintain uninterrupted police operations across all regional divisions.
