A 36-year-old man was killed in a stabbing in the Bandar area of Narayanganj on Saturday evening, 10 October. The victim, identified as Russel, was attacked at an isolated location in Dakshin Gharmora, within the upazila, at around 8 pm.
Police recovered his body from behind Haji Asmat Ullah School after receiving information about the incident. It was subsequently sent to the morgue at Narayanganj General Hospital for a post-mortem examination as part of the investigation.
Russel was the son of the late Sheikh Ahamad Mia and a resident of Dakshin Gharmora in the Kalagachhia Union of Bandar Upazila. Details about his occupation, personal circumstances and the events leading up to the attack have not yet been established.
According to police sources, the stabbing took place at a secluded spot behind Haji Asmat Ullah School. Officers arrived at the scene after being informed of the incident and recovered the body. The authorities then arranged for it to be transferred to the hospital morgue for examination.
