The Bhairab Railway Police have arrested a man and seized 18 kilograms of cannabis during a raid on the Dhaka-bound Parabat Express train from Sylhet. The operation took place on Sunday night at approximately 9:45 pm, leading to the apprehension of the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Tofazzal, also known as Amir.
The breakthrough came following a tip-off received by the law enforcement authorities. Acting swiftly on this intelligence, a special team from the Bhairab Railway Police Station conducted the targeted drive. Each of the nine packages weighed approximately 2 kilograms, bringing the total weight of the confiscated narcotics to 18 kilograms.
