Bangladesh Television (BTV) has finalised a star-studded transmission itinerary for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. The central attraction of the state broadcaster’s festive programming remains its traditional and highly popular magazine show, ‘Anandamela’. Carefully curated with a diverse blend of musical performances, choreography, comedy sketches, and interactive segments, the special episode is scheduled for broadcast on Eid day at 10:00 pm.
This year’s edition of ‘Anandamela’ will be hosted by the prominent television actor Afran Nisho. The extensive production has been jointly supervised and produced by a team of four BTV producers: Afroza Sultana, Md. Hasan Riad, Yasir Arafat, and Yasmin Akhter.
A primary highlight of the broadcast is the participation of the legendary vocalist Runa Laila. She will feature in a distinctively choreographed segment, presenting a contemporary rendition of her classic song, ‘Ei Brishti Bheja Raate Chole Jeo Na’. In addition, the acclaimed singer Baby Naznin will perform her popular track, ‘Kal Sararat Chhilo Swapner Raat’. The choreography and dance direction for this particular segment have been orchestrated by the dance duos Chandni and Shawon.
The musical segment will also introduce new material to the audience. Prominent vocalists Nancy and Imran Mahmudul will take to the stage to perform their latest collaborative track titled ‘Krishnachura’. The lyrics for this new song have been penned by the renowned lyricist Kabir Bakul, whilst the music composition and direction have been handled by Imran Mahmudul himself.
The dance segments will feature notable classical and contemporary artists. Acclaimed actress and dancer Sadia Islam Mou will deliver a themed performance based on the concept of ‘Rupnogorer Rajkonna’. Furthermore, television actresses Mehazabien Chowdhury and Sabila Nur will unite on stage for a joint dance performance set to the classic track, ‘Door Dwipbashini’.
The producers have integrated interactive segments to engage both studio audiences and viewers. Popular film actress Pori Moni will feature in a special audience-participation segment titled ‘Rong’.
Additionally, a competitive quiz segment will see the involvement of several contemporary young celebrities. The participants for the quiz include Keya Payel, Atiya Anisa, Jefor Rahman, Farruk Ahmed Rehan, Farhan Ahmed Jovan, and Khairul Basar.
The entertainment line-up concludes with a series of comedic presentations. Standard stand-up and sketch comedy will be delivered by the popular comedian Abu Hena Roni, alongside experienced actors Faruk Ahmed, Shamim Zaman, and Mukit Mohammad Zakaria. Moreover, a special dramatic sketch titled ‘O-Manush’ will be staged by actor Sumon and comedian Shawon.
