The reports further claimed she was accompanied by her husband, director Adnan Al Rajeev, and filmmaker Shankha Dasgupta, and that airport authorities mysteriously cleared them despite the discovery.

In a detailed post on her verified Facebook page, Mehazabien categorically denied every facet of the story. “I was never stopped at the airport, nor was any handbag or luggage of mine seized,” she stated. She challenged the purveyors of the news to produce a single shred of evidence, such as a photograph, video, or official statement from airport security, to validate their claims.
