The deceased was identified as Taspia Ahmed Tisha, an educator attached to the Aftabnagar branch of Milestone School and College. Originally hailing from the Professor Para area in Chandpur Sadar upazila, she resided with her family in Meradia Noapara within Khilgaon.

According to her brother, Enam Ahmed, Tisha had left home earlier in the day to attend to her professional duties. The family received news of the tragic incident later that evening, learning she had fallen from the pillion seat of a motorcycle before being run over by two passenger buses travelling alongside each other.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Onoy Chandra Paul of Khilgaon Police Station confirmed the sequence of events, explaining that Tisha was crushed on the spot between a vehicle belonging to ‘Romjan Paribahan’ and another commercial bus. Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the alert to recover the body and secure the surrounding area. Following the completion of preliminary legal formalities at the site, law enforcement transported her remains to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue at around 9:00 pm for a post-mortem examination.

Police quickly seized both passenger buses involved in the fatal accident, including the Romjan Paribahan vehicle. Officers also detained the drivers and helpers from both buses. Legal proceedings and interrogations are currently under way to determine exact responsibilities behind the incident, as authorities prepare to file a formal case under public transport laws.
