Millionaire Naeem as Chattogram sign him; Liton goes to Rangpur for Tk 7.5 million

Naeem Sheikh secured a team in the very first call of the BPL auction, with Chattogram Royals signing him for Tk 11 million. In the same category, Liton Das was acquired by Rangpur Riders for Tk 7.5 million.

Liton’s name appeared in the second call of the auction. Rangpur Riders and Sylhet Titans entered a bidding contest for him, but Rangpur eventually secured him for Tk 7.5 million.

Earlier, Naeem entered the crore-taka bracket. Listed in Category A, he had a base price of Tk 5 million. Sylhet Titans showed initial interest in him, followed by Noakhali Express, Rangpur Riders, and Chattogram Royals joining the bidding race.

Ultimately, Chattogram Royals succeeded in signing Naeem for Tk 11 million.

However, Bangladesh’s experienced duo Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim remained unsold. Their names were called at the beginning of Category B, but no team expressed interest in signing them.
