Acclaimed music composer Murad Noor and National Film Award-winning vocalist Muhin Khan have reunited after a decade-long hiatus to produce a new track titled Chol Ekdin Pakhi Hoi. The upcoming release marks a significant artistic collaboration between the two close friends, both of whom have carved out distinct identities within the Bengali music industry.
Written by physician and poet Dr Rukhsana Parvin Surma, the song is composed by Murad Noor and arranged musically by Mushfiq Litu. The track blends a melodious structure with rock elements, delivering a dynamic melo-rock experience tailored for modern listeners.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Murad Noor recalled that Muhin last performed under his composition a decade ago for a mixed album, after which their professional paths temporarily diverged in the audio circuit. Expressing delight over their reunion, Noor noted that he had previously set several of Dr Surma’s poetic pieces to music, earning positive reception across both Bangladesh and West Bengal. He voiced confidence that this latest venture would resonate similarly well with audiences.
Singer Muhin Khan expressed admiration for the lyricist, highlighting how Dr Surma manages to produce poetic and unconventional lyrics despite the demanding nature of her medical profession. He commended Noor’s composition for striking the right balance within the melo-rock genre, adding that his primary focus during recording was to deliver an authentic vocal interpretation of the lyrics and melody.
Dr Surma shared that her professional commitments often restrict her writing time, making this project particularly meaningful. She explained that Chol Ekdin Pakhi Hoi was selected from a collection of her poetic works that Noor had chosen to compose, praising Muhin’s emotive vocal performance for bringing the lyrics to life.
According to the production team, the song will soon be released across all major digital streaming platforms, alongside an official release on the Noor Creations YouTube channel.
