The Pakistan Navy and the People’s Liberation Army Navy of China have successfully concluded their joint maritime exercise, ‘Sea Guardian-4’, aimed at strengthening bilateral naval cooperation and operational coordination. The exercise was reported by Pakistan’s Samaa TV.
According to Pakistan’s military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise was conducted from 25 March to 1 April, encompassing both port-based activities and open-sea manoeuvres.
During the port phase, which lasted five days at Karachi Port, Pakistan formally welcomed the Chinese naval vessels, with PNS Taimur hosting the reception. The phase included professional discussions, ship tours, inter-delegation exchanges, and a series of seminars designed to enhance mutual understanding and foster stronger collaboration.
The subsequent sea phase took place over two days in the northern Arabian Sea, where both navies engaged in coordinated drills, tactical exercises, and joint manoeuvres, aimed at improving operational synergy and readiness.
The exercise concluded with a joint maritime patrol, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to regional maritime security and stability. ISPR highlighted that such exercises serve as a platform to build trust, improve interoperability, and strengthen preparedness against maritime threats.
