Police Arrest 58 Suspects in Major Tejgaon Anti-Crime Drive

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have detained 58 individuals during a coordinated law enforcement sweep across various crime hotspots within the capital’s Tejgaon division. The large-scale operation, executed by multiple police stations, targeted areas notorious for criminal activity to disrupt local syndicates and curb petty offences.

The breakthrough was confirmed on Wednesday by Niaz Mehedi, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division. According to police headquarters, the targeted raids were conducted throughout Tuesday across several residential and commercial quarters under the jurisdiction of the Tejgaon police division.

Dynamic Distribution of Arrests

The operation required extensive inter-station cooperation to map out and raid specific locations simultaneously. This strategic distribution prevented suspects from fleeing to neighbouring sectors once the initial operations commenced.
