Musician, composer, and actor Pritom Hasan is preparing to take centre stage at the upcoming “Monsoon Beats” concert in Dhaka, sharing the spotlight with pioneer metal band Artcell and a diverse lineup of popular musical acts. Scheduled for 29 August, the open-air musical evening will take place at Courtside, situated along Madani Avenue in the capital, offering local music enthusiasts an eclectic mix of contemporary pop, heavy rock, and classic Bangladeshi tunes.
Organised by Enviro Events, the concert has been curated to cater to a broad spectrum of music lovers by bridging generational tastes and genre boundaries. alongside headline performances by Pritom Hasan and Artcell, the stage will host popular youth-centric band Odd Signature, iconic veteran band Renaissance, solo vocalist Shibu, and dynamic sets by DJ Shimarai. Organisers anticipate a high-energy evening that will reinvigorate Dhaka’s live music scene following a quiet period for large-scale outdoor concerts across the country.
Admittance to the event is restricted to concertgoers aged 16 and above, with tickets available through designated sales channels. According to Enviro Events, the goal of the concert is to inject fresh momentum into the domestic entertainment landscape by bringing together established legends, trendsetting bands, and contemporary hitmakers on a single, state-of-the-art stage.
Pritom Hasan approaches the event during a period of intense artistic productivity across playback singing, solo releases, musical composition, and screen acting. His recent solo track, “Second Nayok,” has achieved widespread popularity across digital platforms. The song’s accompanying music video, creatively directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nuhash Humayun and directed by Monjur Onik, features compelling performances by actor Mir Rabbi and model Malaika Chowdhury.
Expanding his creative footprint beyond music, Pritom has earned significant praise for his acting endeavours. He recently starred in the Shihab Shaheen-directed web film “Tumi Ami Shudhu,” playing opposite singer-turned-actress Zeffer Rahman. Despite his demanding shooting and recording schedules, the versatile artist continues to prioritize live stage performances, making his upcoming set at “Monsoon Beats” one of the most anticipated musical appearances in Dhaka this season.
