Two respected names in Bangladesh’s music industry, composer Rajesh Ghosh and lyricist Anurup Aich, have joined hands for the first time to create a song together. Despite sharing a personal relationship of 25 years and having mutual admiration for each other’s creative work, the duo had never previously collaborated on a musical project.
Their first joint venture, titled ‘Keno Hoili Na Amar’, features vocals by singer Khaled Munna. The song carries the words of Anurup Aich, the composition of Rajesh Ghosh, and musical arrangement by Rozen Rahman. Built around a melancholic melody, the track will be part of Khaled Munna’s upcoming solo album.
The new album marks Khaled Munna’s return to a solo release after a gap of 12 years. The project will be released by Dhruva Music Station and will feature 10 songs. Although the album title has not yet been finalised, the singer has confirmed that it includes contributions from several established lyricists and composers of Bangladesh.
Speaking about the long-awaited collaboration, Anurup Aich said that his relationship with Rajesh Ghosh goes back many years. Both have followed each other’s work closely and have appreciated their respective artistic approaches. However, despite their shared interest in working together, the opportunity never materialised because no artist or audio company had taken the initiative before.
According to Anurup, Khaled Munna’s effort brought the two creators together, resulting in the birth of a song that reflects their combined artistic strengths. He expressed his satisfaction that the long-standing possibility of working with Rajesh had finally become a reality.
Rajesh Ghosh also shared his excitement about the collaboration. He said that he and Anurup Aich had continued their individual journeys in the audio industry, each contributing in their own field. Rajesh added that he has always appreciated Anurup’s songwriting, while Anurup has also shown admiration for his compositions. However, due to a lack of suitable opportunities, they could not work together until now.
For Khaled Munna, the upcoming album represents a significant moment in his musical career. The singer expressed his gratitude to Dhruva Music Station and its founder Dhruva Guha for supporting the project. He said that creating the album has been a rewarding experience, with renowned lyricists and composers contributing their work.
