The Bankers’ Selection Committee, operating under the central bank of Bangladesh, has officially released a combined recruitment circular for the position of ‘Officer (General)’. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 725 vacant posts across seven state-owned commercial and specialised banks, alongside two non-bank financial institutions. Qualified candidates are invited to submit their applications online, with the registration window remaining open until midnight on 2 July 2026.
The total allocation of 725 posts has been divided among the participating financial institutions based on their current staffing requirements. The highest number of vacancies is registered at the Bangladesh Krishi Bank, whilst the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh and the Probashi Kallyan Bank have the fewest. Prospective applicants must meet strict academic criteria specified by the Bankers’ Selection Committee to be deemed eligible for the selection process. The educational mandates are outlined below:
Degree Requirements: Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (Master’s) or a four-year bachelor’s (Honours) degree in any discipline from a government-recognised university.
Academic Division Rules: Applicants must have secured at least one First Division or First Class in their Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), or equivalent higher-tier examinations.
Disqualification Clause: A Third Division or Third Class at any academic level will strictly disqualify a candidate from the application process.
The age threshold for applicants is calculated precisely with effect from 1 April 2026. On this specific date, the minimum acceptable age for an applicant is 21 years, whilst the maximum permissible age limit is capped at 32 years.
The selected candidates will be inducted into the civil service structure under Grade 10 of the National Pay Scale 2015. The designated basic salary scale for an Officer (General) ranges from BDT 16,000 to BDT 38,640. In addition to the basic pay, the recruited officers will be entitled to standard allowances and other institutional benefits as per the prevailing service rules of the respective banks and corporations.
All interested candidates must complete their application process digitally. The applications are to be processed exclusively through the dedicated recruitment portal hosted on the official website of Bangladesh Bank.
A non-refundable application fee of BDT 200 is mandatory to complete the registration. The final deadline for filling out the online application form and successfully transmitting the payment is 2 July 2026, precisely at 11:59 PM. Submissions attempted after this deadline will not be processed by the online recruitment system.
