On Saturday night, Al Nassr missed the chance to lift the Saudi Super Cup after losing 5-3 to Al Ahli in a penalty shootout at the Hong Kong Stadium, following a 2-2 draw in regular time. Despite the team’s defeat, Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a remarkable personal milestone, etching his name in football history once again.
In the first half, Ronaldo struck in the 41st minute, scoring against Al Ahli to give Al Nassr the lead. That goal marked his 100th goal for Al Nassr, making him the first footballer in history to score at least 100 goals for four different clubs.
| Club | Goals Scored | Years Active |
| Manchester United | 145 | Early career stint |
| Real Madrid | 450 | Longest and most prolific spell |
| Juventus | 101 | Successful Serie A tenure |
| Al Nassr | 100* | Landmark achieved in Saudi Arabia |
*The 100th goal came against Al Ahli in the Saudi Super Cup (24 August).
At 40 years of age, Ronaldo’s consistency across leagues in England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia has placed him in a class of his own.
Before Ronaldo, only three footballers had managed to score 100 or more goals for three separate clubs:
| Player | Nationality | Clubs with 100+ Goals | Career Span |
| Isidro Lángara | Spanish | Oviedo, San Lorenzo, Real España | 1930–1948 |
| Romário | Brazilian | Vasco da Gama, PSV, Flamengo | 1980s–2000s |
| Neymar | Brazilian | Santos, Barcelona, PSG | 2009–present |
Ronaldo, however, stands alone as the only footballer in history to achieve the feat with four different clubs, thereby surpassing all predecessors and contemporaries.
This new milestone reaffirms Ronaldo’s extraordinary career longevity, determination, and ability to adapt across leagues and continents. While Al Nassr may have lost the cup, the Portuguese forward once again rewrote football history, ensuring his place at the very summit of the game’s greatest legends.
