Sonali Life Organises ‘Career Guide Special Training’ Session

Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited has successfully organised a specialised professional development programme titled “Career Guide Special Training” at the Khulna Shilpakala Academy. The training session was held recently with the participation of branch managers from the Khulna division, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen workforce capability, improve career planning awareness, and enhance the efficiency of field-level insurance operations.

Senior officials from the organisation attended the programme. Director Mustafa Kamrul Sobhan was present as the chief guest. Director Sheikh Mohammad Daniel delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of structured professional development. The main paper of the programme was presented by the acting Chief Executive Officer of the company, Rafiqul Islam.

The event also saw the participation of several senior management officials, including Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Golam Mostafa, Assistant Managing Directors Anupam Das and Emdadul Haque Sahil, and Assistant General Manager Md. Obaidur Rahman Mondol. Their presence reflected the company’s emphasis on strengthening coordination between senior leadership and field-level operations.

Participants in the training included branch managers, unit managers, and financial associates from the Khulna territory. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Managing Director Emdadul Haque Sahil, who also oversaw the training delivery process.

According to official company data, Sonali Life currently provides insurance services to more than 62,000 policyholders in the Khulna division. These services are delivered through 15 branch offices, ensuring continuous customer support across the region. As of March 2026, the division has generated approximately Tk 12 crore in premium income, combining both first-year and renewal premiums. In 2025, total premium income from the Khulna region stood at more than Tk 45 crore.

The company has also reported consistent claims settlement activity in the division. Up to March 2026, approximately Tk 5 crore was paid as insurance claims in Khulna. In 2025, the total claims paid in the division exceeded Tk 15 crore, reflecting ongoing claim processing operations.

Sonali Life maintains a substantial field presence in the region. The Khulna division currently has 7,099 field personnel engaged in insurance-related activities. As of March 2026, an additional 257 insurance workers have been recruited, further strengthening service delivery capacity and customer engagement at the grassroots level.
