The Dhaka Education Board has once again extended the deadline for submitting forms for this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations. The submission period has been lengthened by an additional four days, allowing candidates to complete their forms, including the late fee, until Thursday, 5 February 2026.
On Monday, 2 February, the Board issued an official notice signed by its Controller of Examinations, Professor S M Kamal Uddin Haider, confirming the extension. According to the notification, the revised schedule applies specifically to SSC candidates for the 2026 examinations.
The notice states that students can submit their examination forms during this extended period and must deposit the associated fees through the ‘Sonali Seba’ payment system. The final date for fee payment is also set as 5 February 2026.
In addition, the Board has directed the heads of all educational institutions under its jurisdiction to ensure that all students complete the form submission process within the revised timeframe. This measure aims to facilitate students who were unable to meet the earlier deadline and to prevent any disruption in the upcoming examination schedule.
For clarity, the revised SSC form submission schedule is outlined in the table below:
| Activity | Original Deadline | Extended Deadline | Payment Method | Applicable Students |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Form Submission (with normal fee) | 2 February 2026 | – | – | 2026 SSC candidates |
| Form Submission (with late fee) | – | 5 February 2026 | Sonali Seba | 2026 SSC candidates |
| Fee Submission Deadline | 2 February 2026 | 5 February 2026 | Sonali Seba | 2026 SSC candidates |
The Board’s decision to extend the deadline reflects its commitment to ensuring all students have sufficient time to complete administrative requirements. Many students face difficulties in submitting their forms on time due to personal or institutional delays. The extension is therefore intended to provide additional flexibility and prevent any candidates from missing out on the examinations due to procedural issues.
Education authorities have emphasised that students should complete both form submission and fee payment within the extended period to avoid penalties or complications. School principals have been instructed to closely monitor the submission process and ensure compliance with the new schedule.
This latest adjustment provides a crucial opportunity for candidates to finalise their administrative preparations, ensuring a smoother start to the SSC examinations. Students are urged to take advantage of the extension and submit their forms promptly, avoiding last-minute delays.
