On the other hand, the complete operational responsibility of our family enterprises now rests squarely on my shoulders. Coordinating all of these commercial duties while simultaneously dedicating the required time to the cricket board would be exceptionally difficult for me. Therefore, considering these practical ground realities, I have taken the conscious decision not to remain on the board.”

Despite opting out of an official administrative role within the BCB, Shimanto reaffirmed his long-term commitment to supporting the sporting landscape of Bangladesh. He stated that as both a passionate sports organiser and an active entrepreneur, he will consistently patronise and provide financial or logistical cooperation for the development and expansion of cricket, alongside various other sports across the nation.
