According to the latest inland river forecast issued at around 11:30 am and valid until 6:00 pm today, temporary gusty or squally winds are expected to sweep across several regions from the west and north-west. These conditions are likely to be accompanied by rain or thundershowers in multiple areas, potentially causing sudden disruptions in daily life and transportation networks.

Authorities have advised that river ports in the affected regions display cautionary signal number one, indicating the possibility of adverse weather conditions. This precaution is particularly important for vessels navigating busy inland waterways where visibility and stability may be compromised during thunderstorms.

The districts under the warning include Rajshahi, Pabna, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Sylhet. Meteorologists have warned that these areas may experience sudden bursts of rain, lightning activity, and strong wind gusts that could reach 45 to 60 kilometres per hour.
