Today’s Currency Exchange Rates: 26 July 2026

The Bangladeshi taka’s exchange value against major international currencies remains an important reference for millions of people involved in overseas employment, remittances, international trade, education, travel and cross-border financial transactions. With more than 10 million Bangladeshis living and working abroad, particularly across the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, daily currency rates are closely followed by expatriate workers and their families.

The exchange rate is also relevant to importers, exporters, international businesses and individuals making payments or receiving funds from overseas. Even small movements in currency values can affect the amount received by families from remittances or the cost of goods and services purchased from abroad.

On Sunday, 26 July 2026, the exchange rates of the Bangladeshi taka against selected foreign currencies were reported as follows:

Country/Region Foreign Currency Rate in Bangladeshi Taka

For Bangladeshis working overseas, currency movements can have a direct bearing on the value of money sent home. Remittance recipients may receive different amounts in taka depending on the prevailing exchange rate and the channel used to transfer funds. Similarly, businesses engaged in imports and exports may face changes in transaction costs as exchange rates fluctuate.

It should be remembered that foreign exchange rates are not fixed and may change at any time in response to market conditions, supply and demand, central bank policies, international trade flows and broader economic developments. The actual rate offered by banks, authorised money changers or remittance service providers may also differ from the indicative rates mentioned above.

Therefore, anyone planning to send or receive foreign currency, settle an international payment or conduct a cross-border transaction should verify the applicable rate with the relevant financial institution before completing the transaction.
