DHAKA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) – The University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh today paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs of the language movement by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar on the occasion of Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs’ Day) and International Mother Language Day.
In observance of “Amar Ekushey”, UGC members Professor Dr Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan, Professor Dr Md Saidur Rahman, UGC Secretary Dr Md Fakhrul Islam, Director of Information and Communication Technology Department, and President of UGC Officers Association Md Omar Farooq, along with other officials and employees of the UGC, were present to honor the sacrifice of the language martyrs.
