Woman’s Body Found in Singair, Mystery Deepens

In Singair upazila of Manikganj district, the recovery of the body of a woman named Rehana Akter (35) from West Bhakum village under Joymontop Union has drawn attention in the area.

On Thursday (23 April) at around 6:30 am, a local woman noticed a body lying inside bushes near a pond bank. She immediately raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to gather at the scene. Following confirmation of the incident, local people informed the law enforcement authorities without delay. Police subsequently arrived at the location and recovered the body.

According to local sources, the deceased, Rehana Akter, had spent a long period abroad and returned to the country last year. It is further stated that she had separated from her husband approximately three years ago. Since then, she had been residing in her native village with her only child.
